Thématiques actuelles :
Structuration et évolution de la diversité génétique et de la diversité spécifique dans les communautés d’insectes.
Ces travaux font l’objet de collaborations suivies avec différents laboratoires nationaux ou étrangers (Pays-Bas, USA, Italie, Maroc).
I - Biologie évolutive des associations hôtes-parasitoïdes
1/ Organisation temporelle de l’activité des parasitoïdes
Chez les Trichogrammes, parasites oophages, et chez les Eupelmus, Hyménoptères parasites de larves de bruches, les interactions compétitives sont régulées par le cycle photopériodique, avec en particulier un décalage du début d’activité entre espèces qui compenserait les différences de capacité compétitrice en cas de multiparasitisme.
2/ Evolution des communautés drosophiles-parasites (Drosophila-Leptopilina)
La zone d’étude, qui correspond principalement au sud-est de la France, offre une situation favorable par l’abondance et la diversité des espèces ainsi que par des situations contrastées entre le nord et le sud.
Extension de Leptopilina boulardi vers le nord : espèce colonisatrice et effet du réchauffement : adaptation et évolution, conséquence sur les autres espèces, notamment l’espèce voisine L. heterotoma.
Plasticité phénotypique et différenciation locale de Leptopilina heterotoma : interaction génotype-environnement (température et espèce-hôte).
Interactions hôtes-parasitoïdes : rôle de la communication chimique (phéromones) selon la densité et la diversité des espèces.
Prévalence des microparasites (Wolbachia et virus Lbfv) : rôle possible dans la compétition entre les deux espèces de Leptopilina, notamment dans les populations marginales.
3/ Effets sublétaux des insecticides sur les parasitoïdes (Trichogramma)
Communication chimique et la reconnaissance spécifique chez des espèces de Trichogrammes. Les insecticides neurotoxiques (à dose non létales) perturbent la reconnaissance spécifique des mâles aux phéromones. Conséquences sur la reproduction et les croisements interspécifiques.
