Equipe Ecologie évolutive et Biologie des populations d’insectes
L’équipe est fédérée autour de quatre axes interconnectés, associant des considérations fondamentales et appliquées : Ecologie Evolutive, Ecologie des Communautés, Ecophysiologie et Epidémiologie Evolutives. L’étude de l’influence des processus stochastiques (environnementaux et/ou démographiques) sur l’évolution et la dynamique des populations et des communautés est centrale aux différentes thématiques. Quatre thèmes de recherche sont particulièrement développés :
1) "Coexistence d’espèces en compétition pour une ressource pulsée" (porteur S. Venner),
2) « Stratégies de diapause en environnement stochastique » (porteur F. Menu),
3) "Stratégies d’acquisition et d’allocation des ressources - rôle des endosymbiotes dans la spécialisation à l’hôte végétal" (porteur MC. Bel-Venner) et
4) "Stratégies biodémographiques et dynamique des populations de punaises Triatomines, vecteurs de la maladie de Chagas - Relation avec la dynamique des souches du pathogène, Trypanosoma cruzi " (porteur F. Menu).
Le modèle biologique des trois premiers thèmes est le genre Curculio (balanins = charançons).
L’Ecophysiologie Evolutive est un axe transversal (porteur MC. Bel-Venner) aux quatre thèmes.
Nos travaux combinent les aspects théoriques et expérimentaux sur le terrain et au laboratoire dans une approche évolutionniste. Nous développons des modèles mathématiques (optimisation, théorie de jeux, dynamique adaptative).
L’équipe collabore avec des laboratoires argentins et mexicains.
