Mes travaux de recherches visent à comprendre le fonctionnement des associations hôtes-parasites chez les arthropodes ainsi que leur importance écologique et évolutive. Il s’agit de déterminer l’impact phénotypique des parasites sur leurs hôtes, de déterminer comment les partenaires évoluent sous l’action des pressions de sélections réciproques qui s’exercent entre eux et rechercher comment ces associations s’adaptent localement aux variations spatio-temporelles de l’environnement. Une attention particulière est portée aux micropartenaires symbiotiques (bactéries, virus) des insectes parasitoïdes ou des arthropodes vecteurs de pathogènes. Les thèmes abordés relèvent de la génétique des populations et de la génétique évolutive, complétées ces dernières années par des analyses fonctionnelles des déterminants phénotypiques individuels. 4 axes de recherches sont développés :
1-Adaptations locales dans les systèmes Drosophiles-Parasitoïdes et réponses aux changements globaux : étude d’un changement d’aire de répartition d’une espèce de parasite, potentiellement relié à une hausse des températures et modifiant les pressions de sélection locales.
2-Virus symbiotiques modificateur du comportement du parasitoïde Leptopilina boulardi : prévalence du virus et conséquences dans les interactions compétitives entre espèces de parasitoïdes.
3-Bactéries symbiotiques chez l’aleurode des serres Bemisia tabaci. Etude de la diversité et des effets de 5 bactéries endosymbiotiques en associatiion avec les cytotypes mitochondriaux hôtes.
4-Bactéries symbiotiques chez les tiques vecteurs de pathogènes de vertébrés. screening de l’ensemble des bactéries endoymbiotiques connues chez les tiques et recherche de leurs interactions avec les pathogènes vectorisés.
