  • Teaching

As an associate professor, I am full time involved (192h/year) in teaching, to students in biology and bioinformatics. I teach mathematics, modeling in biology, mostly probabilistic and molecular evolution modeling, as well as programming and algorithmic.

    I teach in formations:

  • Development

I am a main developper of library set Bio++, as well as programs in BppSuite.

These programs are mostly dedicated to phylogeny and modeling in molecular evolution.

I am also involved in the development of MareyMap tool and web service.

  • Research

I work on probabilistic modeling in molecular evolution. This modeling is in strong interaction with the development of bio++ libraries; I try that produced methods are easiIy available.

I am interested on modeling evolution processes on very different kind of data and problems:

    • Codon sequences :
      • selection
      • codon usage bias
      • convergence
    • Genome organization :
      • gene adjacencies
    • Transcriptomics
      • Profiles of gene expression
