Pôle bio-technologique
Le pôle biotechnologique rassemble des moyens et des personnels techniques et ingénieurs compétents dans différentes disciplines biologiques et maîtrisant différentes technologies.
Les différents champs d’applications sont :
Écologie évolutive
— des activités de laboratoire (production d’insecte, expérimentation, analyse biologique, etc) avec des salles d’élevage dédiées, des salles d’expérimentation et une plateforme d’écophysiologie.
— des activités de terrain avec un site expérimental de 200 m2 environ situé sur le parc écologique de la Doua et différentes sites d’observation sur le territoire national (Chizé, Trois Fontaines, Barisey-la Côte, La Vanoise) et international (Kerguelen, Zimbabwe)
— un parc automobile de 3 véhicules pour les activités de terrain.
Génétique et génomique
— la biochimie dont les activités sont regroupées dans une salle qui comporte notamment 2 hottes chimiques dédiées à des activités spécifiques (manipulation de solvants et d’acides) et une armoire sécurisée pour la conservation des produits dangereux (inflammables, toxiques).
— la biologie moléculaire, avec des salles dédiées aux appareils de PCR et spectroscopie, d’électrophorèses et une salle plus importante pour les autres activités (salle 28) ainsi qu’une partie de la salle 2 qui permet d’isoler les activités spécifiques de clonage.
— un microscope à fluorescence dans une salle dédiée.
— une salle dédiée aux activités de radioactivité .
Les différentes salles d’expérimentations permettent de regrouper et mutualiser le matériel dans des locaux où les expérimentateurs de différentes équipes se retrouvent et peuvent ainsi échanger leurs compétences.
De plus, un magasin avec une gestion informatisée des entrées et sorties des consommables par chaque équipe en relation avec la gestionnaire de l’unité permet d’avoir à disposition dans une réserve les articles les plus utilisés par les différentes équipes du laboratoire.
Huit personnels techniques travaillent en permanence sur les différentes installations du pôle biotechnologie.
