Mes activités de recherche portent principalement sur l'écologie évolutive, la gestion et la conservation de la guilde des mammifères carnivores. Principalement, je cherche à comprendre comment les populations sauvages de carnivores répondent et s'adaptent aux perturbations d'origine anthropique en mettant en place une démarche d'"evidence-based conservation". Que ce soit par le développement d'approches méthodologiques nouvelles ou par l'application de méthodes existantes en génétique/génomique des populations, écologie spatiale, dynamique des populations, écologie comportementale ou encore en analyse interspécifique, l'impact des perturbations anthropiques est d'abord décrit avant de chercher et proposer des mesures de remédiation en particulier du conflit homme-faune. Mes modèles d'études actuels sont le vison d'Europe, la loutre, le putois, les chats forestiers européen et Corse pour le territoire national, et à l'international, je mène des projets en Mongolie sur le chat de Pallas, la panthère des neiges et l'ours de Gobi, mais également en Namibie sur le léopard Africain.
