The LBBE supports the "10th Symposium de Morphométrie et Evolution des Formes", which will take place in Bordeaux on June 18-20, 2018.
This symposium, organized by the laboratory PACEA (UMR 5199) and the Archaeological Sciences Cluster of Excellence of Bordeaux, aims to foster exchanges among users of morphometric approaches in different fields of research, such as evolutionary biology, developmental biology, archaeobiology, systematics, paleontology, and ecology. Beyond the methodological aspects, this symposium is targeted at all researchers interested in the quantification of forms, biological or not, with this year the will to welcome researchers quantifying morphological variation of objects coming from the material culture.
All researchers with an interest in geometric morphometrics are encouraged to submit an abstract for a talk or a poster presentation:
