The results of the Bioinformatic ANR program have been announced on May 18th 2011.

The ANCESTROME project has been founded. It is aimed at developing a method that is able to use genome scale sequence data across a broad phylogenetic range to extract information on the historic pattern of genome evolution and the processes that have shaped it.

ANCESTROME is headed by the LBBE, and involves the in Montpellier, the lab at the ENS in Paris, the in Marseille and the lab at the Institut Pasteur.
