Bioinformatic engineer position on transcriptomic/epigenomic analysis available at the LBBE in Lyon

A 2 years position is available at the Laboratory of Biometry and Evolutionary Biology (LBBE) located near the city of Lyon, France. We are looking for a highly motivated person with strong expertise in bioinformatics and statistics, to work on the analysis of genomic, RNAseq and ChIPseq data from Drosophila wild-type strains.

The successful candidate will be involved in several research projects dedicated to the analysis of abiotic and biotic stress on Drosophila, with a particular focus to the repeated sequences.

The ideal candidate should have expertise/experience with differential expression analysis and ChIP seq data coming from multiple samples, and with programming. An expertise in statistics is also necessary. She/he also should appreciate to work in a collaborative system and on different projects.

Degrees: we expect to recruit a master level engineer (BAC+ 3 to BAC +5). The choice of the candidate will depend on the experience and motivation.

Environment: our team is located in the Laboratory of Biometry and Evolutionary Biology at the University Lyon1 in the Doua campus. The LBBE provides a very rich scientific environment from genetics to genome evolution, ecology, modeling and bioinformatics. The Doua campus is close to the center of Lyon, which is a very attractive and cosmopolitan city.
