LBBE researchers are honoured in a special issue of "Molecular Biology and Evolution"

The "Molecular Biology and Evolution" journal has initiated a series of special issues for its 40th anniversary. One of the latest issues is dedicated to recombination and meiosis. This special issue features an article written by Julien Meunier (a former PhD student of the laboratory) and by Laurent Duret in 2004. This seminal article was the first to show that the evolution of the GC content of the human genome is driven by recombination, through the biased gene conversion process.
The original article by Meunier and Duret can be found here.
